تَعَارُفُ سَمِيرَةٍ وَ لِينَا

Lena and Samira acquaintance

In this dialogue Samira is speaking to Lena, arrived in Damascus from America. 


 Please, use the voice recorder:

Samira: Good morning! Literary.: “Morning of good”. صَبَاحُ الْخَيْرِ!

سَمِيرَةٌ
Lena: Good morning! Literary.: “Morning of light” – the standard form of answering on “Good morning”. صَبَاحُ النُّورِ!

لِينَا
Samira: I’m Samira, I’m from Damascus. From what country you are? أَنَا سَمِيرَةٌ، أَنَا مِنْ دِمَشْقَ. وَ مِنْ أَيِّ بَلَدٍ أَنْتِ؟

سَمِيرَةٌ
Lena: I’m from America. أَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِيكَا.

لِينَا
Samira: When did you arrive to Damascus? مَتَى وَصَلْتِ إلَى دِمَشْقَ؟

سَمِيرَةٌ
Lena: I arrived a week ago. وَصَلْتُ قَبْلَ أُسْبُوعٍ.

لِينَا
Samira: Have you been in Arab countries before? هَلْ زُرْتِ الْبُلْدَانَ الْعَرَبِيَّةَ سَابِقًا؟

سَمِيرَةٌ
 Lena:  Yes, I have been Lebanon and Tunisia.  نَعَمْ، زُرْتُ لُبْنَانَ وَ تُونِسَ.

لِينَا
 Samira: You are speak Arabic well! أَنْتِ تَتَكَلَّمِينَ بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ جَيِّدًا!

سَمِيرَةٌ
 Lena:  I’m studying Arabic and wish learn the spoken language very well. أَنَا أَدْرُسُ اللُّغَةَ الْعَرَبِيَّةَ وَ اُرِيدُ أَنْ اَتَعَلَّمَ الْمُحَادَثَةَ جَيِّدًا جِدًّا.

لِينَا
 Samira: I’ll help you with that. أَنَا سَاُسَاعِدُكِ فِي ذَلِكَ.

سَمِيرَةٌ
 Lena:  Thank you!  شُكْرًا!

لِينَا
 Samira:  Welcome. Bye.  عَفْوًا. إلَى اللِّقَاءِ.
